• CGI room sets sell

Check out the latest range of brochure shots produced for a UK kitchen manufacturer.

These have gone to print now and look sensational. A huge saving was made on the cost of aquiring the images that this manufacturer required. Studio photography (CGI or traditional) is the only way to get studio quality shots. Fortunately CGI shots dramatically reduce the cost due to a lack of physical requirements, be it props, products, builds or people.

    Why the big improvement?

Recent washroom shots have been a roaring success.  When we compared them to the last set of washroom shots we did they were clearly a great deal better. So we asked ourselves “why”, and this is what we came up with:

1: Looser brief: We were briefed into the essential aspects of the product to communicate and given skeleton requirements the images had to meet. How we went about this was up to us. This is a huge advantage as a CGI studio because we know and understand the medium intimately and so instinctively understand what will work well and what will work better.  In comparison, the previous shots were produced with little or no free reign at our end.

2: Bigger Budget: Surprisingly, not that much bigger. Just a little more resource was all that was needed to allow us to stand back and think about hitting home runs rather than just getting on base. Truthfully, the lack of free reign previously referred to was to enable the shots to be produced on a terrifically tight budget. It worked, but the later set shows that the best value comes from investing a little more at the outset.

The shots will be avialable for comparison on www.imagefoundry.co.uk soon.

KBB Excel show 2011 proves CGP has arrived

A great show at Excel this year saw a proliferation of CGP in use. The medium is really becoming well established within this market place as manufacturers and distributors become aware of the advantages. It was also terrific to meet a few people in the flesh for the first time after speaking so much on the phone. After speaking with Taylist media who publish many of the leading trade magazines within the KBB sectors, they concur that an increasing amount of the imagery they are asked to publish are indeed computer generated.

  • A glowing testimonial from our newest client

Our latest client, PCS Ltd, is delighted with the computer-generated photography that we have produced to use in their latest marketing literature.

PCS is a leading manufacturer of thermal boards for spa structures, steam rooms, wet rooms and shower enclosures. Their products are the essential foundations of a wetroom or spa, but they are hidden beneath the exterior structure, so Image Foundry has been working on images that will reflect the quality of the brand and help customers to visualise the end result.

Neil Mullarkey, Managing Director at PCS Ltd, “As a manufacturer of bespoke products it is essential for us to be able to provide our clients with eye catching photo realistic images that accurately reflect the quality and stability our company and its products.

Image Foundry Studios provides us with a Benchmark Service. Their ability to create on time and to budget incredible lifestyle and schematic CGI’s that are uniquely our brand is an asset to our business.”
